About Omar
As WWT's President – Middle East and International Board Member, Omar Mir leads our international business and is responsible for positioning the company as a world-class supplier of cutting-edge and emerging technologies, including AI, Data Centers, edge computing, 5G & IoT, OpenRAN, cloud and other advanced technologies, as well as closely aligning with the global centers of AI in the USA, UK, Europe and the UAE.
Since joining WWT, Omar has held several leadership roles including President and Managing Director of Global Service Providers (GSP) Alliances and Telco, Special Advisor for International Affairs to the WWT Board, and others. His leadership has been instrumental in driving international growth and fostering a culture of innovation and building solutions not just for clients but for the good of society.
In addition to his role at WWT, Omar serves as an advisor and board member to several industry-leading companies, including the Middle East's largest tech company G42, ambassador and advisor for AI and Advanced Technologies to the Sustainable Markets Initiative to HM King Charles III, King's Trust International Advisor on AI and Advanced Technology, Apolitical, Liquid.AI, ENACT Advisory Committee, VAST Data, Graphiant, Matroid, Nile, and the EMEA advisor and member of the Advisory Council at NightDragon. He is also a Non-Executive Director for the sustainability champion World Wide Generation and an Oscar-winning film production company.
Recognized as an award-winning expert in innovation by Vodafone and Dell, Omar is passionate about leveraging technology to create a better world. He is actively involved in projects that positively impact the environment, enhance education, promote inclusion, improve healthcare, advance women's rights and mitigate climate change. Omar is particularly dedicated to driving African equality and transforming lives and communities in Kenya, where he has personally supported over 14,000 children through educational initiatives.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Omar's commitment to empowering humanity is evident through his roles as the Principal Benefactor of HM King Charles III The King's Trust International, the Founding Principal Benefactor of King's Trust International Campaign Generation Potential, WeProtect Board Observer, Dwight D. Opperman Foundation Board Member and chairman of the Digital Inclusion Initiative Academy and Founder of the British Digital Future Inclusion Initiative.
He currently resides in London, England, but his passion lies in East Africa where he loves to immerse himself in safaris and fly small planes over remote jungles to catch some of the last pockets of breathtaking nature in the African wilderness.
